Directed and accompanied by veteran pianist Maestro Curtis and captivating vocalist Nola Curtis (a.k.a. Cyd Qurtisse), the Community Music Center Older Adult Choirs from the Bayview, Western Addition, and Ingleside neighborhoods perform rousing and inspiring music that celebrates the diversity of the members. The repertoire focuses on gospel, jazz and popular music from the civil rights era and Summer of Love. Open to adults over 55, these tuition-free choirs are part of CMC’s Older Adult Choir Program, and are organized in partnership with the IT Bookman Community Center, the Western Addition Senior Center, the Bayview Hunters Point Multipurpose Senior Services and the Dr. George W.
