The MLK 2024 Music Festival celebrates its fourteenth year with a spectacular celebration of artistry, culture and unity that takes center stage during NorCal MLK’s annual MLK Day Celebrations. In partnership with Purple Cherry Productions, this festival brings acclaimed artists to the iconic Esplanade Stage at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Gardens.

Come early to join the interfaith commemoration at 11:45am on the Esplanade Stage in Yerba Buena Gardens, led by the San Francisco Interfaith Council with music from the Glide Ensemble.

This event is part of Northern California Martin Luther King Jr. Community Foundation’s MLK ’24 festivities running from January 8-16, 2024.

Performing Artists

Mo Jones has been on the comedy circuit for the past 15 years and has shared the stage with Earthquake, George Wallace, Bruce Bruce and more! He has served as the headliner, featured comic or the host on stages all around the country. A sidenote, Mo began his entertainment career as dancer for MC Hammer at the age of 19 and toured with Hammer for 6 years!

Tracy Cruz is a multiple award-winning R&B/soul/jazz artist. Tracy’s music is Bay Area urban soul, with the influence of her Filipino roots. She has performed at all the major venues in the Bay Area including Yoshi’s, SF Jazz, San Jose Center for the Performing Arts and more!

Dyson The Singer has performed with Tony! Toni! Tone! Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan, India Arie, Tevin Campbell and Robin Thicke.

Dee Dee Simon is a singer, songwriter, producer, actress, director and author. She has shared the stage with musical greats such as Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Charlie Wilson, Ron Isley, Sting, Santana and more. Dee Dee was recently the “2023 Showtime at the Apollo Grand Finale Winner.” She’s also won the Steve Harvey National Neighborhood Awards “Singing Competition Winner”, the Jackson Music Awards 2023 “Queen of Soul” and a whole lot more! DEE DEE SIMON IS THE TRUTH!

Top Shelf Classics delivers an explosive classic soul, old school, funk concert and dance PARTY!  Their show is a mix of Motown, classic soul, R&B, old school ’70s, retro ’80s and ’90s, as well as the top hits of today.
