There are horn sections, and then there is the Pacific Mambo Orchestra, making a triumphant return to YBG Festival after winning a 2014 Grammy for Best Tropical Latin Album! Taking its style from the classic Latin orchestras of the 1940s, PMO brings together four trumpets, four trombones, five saxophones, piano, bass, timbales, congas, and bongos, to perform classic Latin big band mambo from Machito, Tito Puente, and Tito Rodriguez, as well as original compositions.
