John W. Evans is the author of two books, Young Widower: A Memoir (U. of Nebraska Press, 2014) and The Consolations: Poems (Trio House Press, 2014). He teaches creative writing at Stanford University.
Katie Peterson is the author of three collections of poetry, This One Tree (New Issues, 2006), Permission (New Issues, 2013) and The Accounts (University of Chicago 2013). She was born in California and just moved back in June.
Nikki Thompson is a poet, book artist (a.k.a Deconstructed Artichoke Press), and happily failed architect. She earned her MFA in creative writing from California College of the Arts in 2002. Her work has appeared in Palimpsest, Mason’s Road, and Cobalt Review.
Singer-songwriter Kate Gaffney honed her skills in Philadelphia, toured from coast to coast, and laid roots in Northern California. She released “The Coachman” in 2008, and has performed at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, High Sierra Music Festival, and Philadelphia Folk Festival.
