Poets

Adrian Arias is a prize winning Peruvian poet who has been enlivening the Bay Area poetry scene for the last 14 years. His poems include visual and performance arts with a lyrical, emotional, surreal, and whimsical nature.

Rachelle Linda Escamilla is the winner of the 2014 Willow Books Literature Prize in Poetry. Rachelle just returned from China where she co-founded China’s first center for creative writing at Sun Yat-sen University.

Kristin Hatch’s the meatgirl whatever (Fence Books) won the National Poetry Series, and her chapbook through the hour glass was recently published by CutBank Books.

Joseph Lease‘s critically acclaimed books of poetry include Testify and Broken World. His poems have been selected for Postmodern American Poetry: A Norton and The Best American Poetry 2002. He is a Professor of Writing and Literature at California College of the Arts.

Musical Guest

Entertaining audiences for decades, Mia d’Bruzzi performs, tours and records with proto punk feminist group Frightwig, guitar onslaught Gone to Ground, and the Mia d’Bruzzi Jazz combo, as well as busking under the moniker Mama Mia d’Bruzzi.
