Explore the beautiful trees of Yerba Buena Gardens! YBG Festival is excited to be activating the Gardens again with fun, social-distance-friendly ways to enjoy the Gardens.

This self-led tree tour was created by Mike Sullivan @sftreeguy, arboreal aficionado and author of “The Trees of San Francisco”, and Jason Dewees, horticulturalist at Flora Grubb Gardens and author of Designing with Palms. Mike is former board president of the Friends of the Urban Forest, and a current member of the City’s Urban Forestry Council and Commission on the Environment. Since April 2020, Mike, Jason and Richard Turner (retired editor of Pacific Horticulture) have created numerous neighborhood “Covid Tree Tours” in San Francisco as a way to safely explore our beautiful urban outdoors. We’re so excited to see the trees of Yerba Buena Gardens highlighted.

Look for the “Start” markings and follow the chalk arrows for an afternoon of fun. The chalk will naturally fade away, so visit while you can! See more info about Mike and the tree tours at sftrees.com.
