Since opening three decades ago, Yerba Buena Gardens has become a treasured public space and open air art gallery with permanent works that often spark interesting discussions. Free and open to all, this walking tour explores the artworks of Yerba Buena Gardens which evoke the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and San Francisco’s maritime past. Meet in front of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial and Waterfall at the center of Yerba Buena Gardens and explore a fascinating collection of public art amidst a green urban oasis. The tour route avoids stairs and is ADA accessible.
